Regional cross-curricular events

BOOK NOW for a new series of cross-curricular events taking place in all regions during the Autumn and Spring terms

CfBT is working with subject associations from all 10 foundation subjects to offer two events in each region between October 2009 and the end of March 2010. Each event will involve 5 subjects, exploring key aspects and examples of compelling learning in each one, and enabling delegates from different subjects to discuss the potential for working together. There will be one event in each region featuring languages alongside History, Music, RE and PSHE. We predict a lot of creative ideas emerging!

Workshops in Spring 2010

The DCSF funded programme of support for the new curriculum will continue up to 31st March 2010. We are continuing to run workshops to help language departments to move on to the next stage in the development of their secondary curriculum. New elements include:

  • How the revised KS3 Framework (available online from September) can help with planning
  • Building on changes in years 8 and 9
  • Opportunities to take a new look at KS4
  • All the workshops flag up useful resources, provide practical examples and allow time for discussion and the sharing of ideas.
The workshops are free of charge to teachers in maintained secondary schools.
To find out about workshops happening in your region to support the new languages curriculum, contact events@all-nsc.org.uk and we will get back to you.
